Star Voyager

Back in the 1990's at the time when only the 2nd version of Adobe Photoshop was born (PS2) a young man in his 30's began exploring the potential of the program on a 24" CRT Display.*

Poised with only the very limited resources of a few screen shots and an even more limited resource supplied via NASA's public archive, Peter J Tisma was contracted as a Creative Executive Director to produce ideas for an agency who worked with Paramount (among many others such as MGM, Columbia and United Artists and Disney). He was asked to come up with a series of illustration ideas for the new series: Start Trek. Voyager.

Over 20 different artists were proposed but Paramount did not like any of the styles. But they loved what Peter had come up with and so they commissioned him to produce the work himself and thus he set about producing one of the first Fine Art series illustrations  ever made for Star Trek using Adobe Photoshop.

The rest is, as they say, Star Trek history.

A series of 6 illustration were produced and turned out as large, 12x18 inch transparencies. These were first generation transparencies and they were kept in Peter's private collection for over 20 years.

Today they are published here at last, exclusively,
as a limited edition set.
